A California-based OnlyFans model is facing a second-degree murder charge after a naughty encounter with a fan went horribly, horribly wrong.
Back in April of 2023, a 56-year-old man in the beachside city of Escondido named Michael Dale went on an escort website. There, he reached out to an OF creator who made content under the name of Asshley SinCal.
As we now know based on arrest affidavits later released by cops, the woman — who is now 31 years old — is really named Michaela Rylaarsdam. But Michaela (pictured above) was trying to make it as an OnlyFans star back in 2023 when she came across Dale via that escort service.

According to multiple media outlets, Michaela went to Michael’s Escondido home on April 17 of that year after he made a series of online requests for her to perform BDSM acts on him.
Among those requests, per FOX 5 News citing her arrest affidavit, was an act in which Dale wanted Michaela to “wrap him up in Saran Wrap like a mummy.” But that’s not all. The man also allegedly wanted her to glue his eyes shut and glue women’s shoes onto his feet. He also wanted to be cinched up tight using duct tape, too.

Michaela went along with it, cops say — possibly in part because Dale agreed to pay her $11,000 for the act. Oh, and she was planning on recording the entire event in order to publish it on her OnlyFans page. There was just one little (huge) problem: as the OF star later told cops per the New York Post and others, she’d never done that kind of very specific and potentially dangerous fetish content before!!
The arrest affidavit claimed Dale “appeared intoxicated” during their four-hour meeting. In the middle of the event, after he’d been wrapped up tight as requested, Michaela then allegedly placed a bag over his head and secured it with duct tape — where it remained for about eight minutes. During that time, Dale allegedly became unresponsive.
Michaela panicked and called 911. First responders showed up and rushed Dale to the hospital. But sadly, the next day, he was declared brain dead and taken off life support.
During the subsequent investigation, Rylaarsdam showed her phone to cops. On it were texts that allegedly confirmed Dale’s requests to have his legs wrapped in Saran Wrap and glue poured into his eyes, per the San Diego Union-Tribune.
In speaking to the newspaper, San Diego County law enforcement officials added there were also “several troubling videos” on Michaela’s phone which allegedly showed her performing sex acts on Dale while he appeared unresponsive with the bag over his head, and his wrists and legs bound. Per the paper, when detectives confronted Michaela about the videos, she reportedly denied being the one who put the bag over the bound man’s head — or being the one who secured it there via duct tape.
Huh?!?!
Cops felt differently. Earlier this month, after nearly 24 months spent investigating the case, they opted to bring the second-degree murder charge against her.

In a statement to the Union-Tribune, prosecutors said that while evidence does seem to indicate Dale hired her specifically to perform bondage and fetish acts, there is “no indication that he asked her to obstruct his breathing, asked her to put tape over his mouth, asked her to put a plastic bag over his head.”
Meanwhile, Michaela’s defense attorney David Cohen argued thusly to the paper:
“There was no intent to kill and no attempt to cover this up. … [Michaela] acted appropriately when she realized this was a problem. There is definitely a consensual element — not only something he consented to, something he was actively seeking.”
Michaela pleaded not guilty to the charge earlier this month. She will appear in court next week for a hearing. In the meantime, she is being held in jail down in San Diego County without bail. Wow.
