Ohio State Rep's Daughter Accuses Him Of Inappropriate Touching -- Even His Fellow Republicans Are Creeped Out!

Ohio State Rep Rodney Creech Accused Abuse Daughter

[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content]

Well, this is just gross. Yet another politician accused of sexual misconduct and denying any wrongdoing… only this one is with his own daughter.

Ohio State Representative Rodney Creech (R-West Alexandria) was accused by his teen daughter of inappropriately touching her multiple times. She also said he got into her bed with her while wearing just his underwear — and claimed he was visibly erect. Horrifying.

The allegations were first made about two years ago, in May 2023. The girl first told her mother. Eventually Preble County Sheriff Michael Simpson became aware of the accusations, according to Bureau of Criminal Investigation files obtained by The Columbus Dispatch. However, BCI investigators found the Sheriff never followed up, never produced a report or interviewed Creech or the unnamed minor, something the mother called “an absolute dereliction of duty by a public official.”

Months later, the teen told the Montgomery County CARE House, a nonprofit created to help abused children. That finally got Sheriff Simpson to relay the allegations to the BCI. In a March 2024 interview, Representative Creech denied any wrongdoing. He admitted to getting into bed with his daughter while wearing only his underwear — but swore there was nothing sexual about his behavior. Uhh.. uh huh. He was just being fatherly. In his underwear. In his teen daughter’s bed. Even though it seems clear she was uncomfortable enough with whatever he did that she needed to tell her mother and eventually social workers.

The case was turned over to the Preble County prosecutor, who requested a special prosecutor take the case — presumably because the Preble County one worked with Creech in some capacity? Ultimately Clark County Prosecutor Daniel P. Driscoll wrote in his decision that he found Creech’s behavior “concerning and suspicious” — but made the decision not to prosecute due to lack of evidence. Just her word against his, we guess.

Fellow state Rep Phil Plummer (R-Dayton) said, per the BCI, that Creech made “appalling” comments while disclosing the allegations to them. Ohio House Speaker Matt Huffman (R-Lima) was apparently similarly icked out. He stripped Creech of his committee assignments. Note the Rs there — these are Creech’s fellow Republican Party members who either believe the allegations or are at least suspicious enough that they want him to have as little power as possible. However, the sanctions were a slap on the wrist as Creech was allowed to keep his office — and is even running for a higher one.

Yes, this man, in the face of some of the worst allegations possible, announced on May 12 that he is running for Ohio Senate next year. Regarding the allegations he said in a statement:

“These allegations have been found to be demonstrably false, and I have already begun pursuing legal action against those who are pushing this filth.”

He then compared himself to — you’ll never guess — Donald Trump, saying:

“Like President Trump, I am no stranger to false media attacks.”

Gross.

Freelance Ohio political reporter D.J. Byrnes caught up with Creech outside the Statehouse on Thursday and asked him to reiterate his side of the story. The MAGA politician acted like he was being persecuted just for wearing underwear, saying:

“Parents… A lot of parents that I’ve talked to wear underwear in the house. I’ve done it my whole life, my parents did it.”

Obviously not answering the inappropriate touching allegations at all. Still, the reporter had to ask what we were thinking about the underwear comment. Around the teen daughter though? And in her bed? Creech’s answer raised even more questions though! He said:

“My daughters were alienated from me and never came downstairs, so the only time that I got to talk to my daughters was upstairs. And they were usually laying on their bed. So it’s something that, you know, I would always go in their rooms before I went to bed and say goodnight, talk to them, they’re probably on the phone with their friends or whatever.”

Again, still acting like everyone is upset he was being a mortifying dad walking around in his underwear — instead of the far more serious allegations actually being presented.

But what was that about his daughters being “alienated from” him?? He complained to the reporter about his custody battle and then the fact his daughter said she “wanted zero contact” with him, wanted him “to never talk to her again.”

Gee, we wonder why…
