Four months into the new season and reports show that one-time ratings king, CSI, is failing fast.
CSI has been a top five series, and TV’s No. 1 drama, for sometime. But as of January, after losing fan favorite William Petersen and replacing him with Lawrence Fishburne, fans have been saying adios and getting their crime drama kicks someplace else.
The numbers don’t lie: Back in January, it pulled in an impressive 24.2 million viewers, but now an average of about 15.3 million people are still tuning in. And now it’s falling behind “younger shows” like The Mentalist and NCIS in the Number 3 or 4 post.
Sucks to be Lawrence Fishburne. He just got this gig and it seems like now he is on his way out.
But, honestly, how many ways can someone die? How many different kind of murders are there really? We think this has run its course!
