X Factor UK judge Louis Walsh always tells it like it is.
And in a recent interview, the entertainment manager got real about the future of Simon Cowell‘s most prolific proteges… One Direction!
Speaking to DailyMail.com, the judge said that 1D was doomed from the start because their quick rise to fame turned them into “monsters.”

But that’s not the worst part, Directioners — Walsh also claimed that the boys’ superstar success as a group was giving them false hope for solo careers! He explained:
“Too much money, too much success too quickly. Simon created monsters and that was it. They all think they’re going to be solo stars. They’re not.”
Ouch!
So who in the group does Walsh think is talented enough to go solo? Harry Styles, of course! He added:
“Only Harry. That’s it. Then they’ll be sorry they broke up and it’ll be too late because there’s another boy band. That’s what always happens in boy bands.”
We guess someone wasn’t a fan of Zayn Malik‘s Pillowtalk! Ha!

But the future isn’t grim for all of 1D boys according to Walsh, who is totally shipping Liam Payne‘s relationship with Cheryl Tweedy:
“I think Liam and Cheryl are going to work├óΓé¼┬ª He’s a nice guy and he’s in love with her. He’ll make her happy. I think she was in a bad place over the last two years.”
Well, it’s good to know that some of One Direction have bright futures ahead of them├óΓé¼┬ª just no one tell Louis Tomlinson or Niall Horan!
