Not too shabby!
According to early data from the ratings people at Nielsen, 57 million people tuned-in to see Barack Obama and John McCain debate for the very first time on Friday.
More people saw McCain scowl at Obama than the Friends finale (52.5 million)!
But, the first debate between W. and Kerry in 2004 scored a bit better than the first faceoff between this year’s guys.
The Texan and the New Englander reeled in about 62 million viewers four years ago.
If YouTube and DVR watchers were counted we think the Obama/McCain ‘viewer number’ would be higher!
