British men must be born with super powers! Because all of the superhero leads in Hollywood keep going to these English lads!
And word on the Gotham City streets is that Orlando Bloom is on the brink of landing the role of Batman!!!
A senior source at Warner Bros. has confirmed that Orlando is indeed their top choice to play the caped-crusader in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, saying:
“Orlando looks odds-on to get the part even before our first casting call.”
If this is true, that means Bloom will be teaming up with his fellow Englishman Henry Cavill as Superman in the EPIC movie that’s expected to be in theaters by 2015!

Orlando would be the latest in a VERY long list of foreign-born superheroes including Andrew Garfield, Hugh Jackman and Chris Hemsworth, not to mention the Welsh-born Christian Bale that Orlando would be replacing as Batman.
We know he can play a pirate but do YOU think Orlando can pull off the part of Bruce Wayne and Batman??? Or should the studio set their sights on another Dark Knight?
