WHEW!
A long list of amazing films and talented names! But a few got left out…
More big names that failed to be featured in this list of nominations were some fan favs! Paul Mescal failed to snag a nomination for his work in Hamnet, although the movie itself was able to get a few noms. Chase Infiniti was left out of the Best Actress noms following her show-stopping work on One Battle After Another.
Another notable snub is Park Chan-Wook‘s South Korean comedy/thriller film No Other Choice, which was critically acclaimed yet didn’t get any international nominations. Jesse Plemons didn’t get to take home a Best Actor nom for his work in Bugonia, despite the film itself getting several nominations. Weapons, while gaining a nomination with Amy Madigan for Best Supporting Actress, was snubbed after it didn’t get a Best Picture nom.
Another notable tidbit about this years Oscars noms is Sinners made HISTORY with the most nominations for a film EVER! It completely shattered the record previously held by Titanic, All About Eve, and La La Land, receiving a staggering 16 nominations! Wow!
The Oscars are just around the corner, going live on Sunday, March 15! What do U think the biggest snub was? And who is your fav nomination? Let us know ALL your thoughts in the comments (below)!
