Diddy and Fiasco are trying to raise awareness for “Pakistan NOW,” an organization made up of celebrities and cultural figures using their status to help garner support for the relief effort in Pakistan, which was recently devastated by severe flooding.
Over 1,500 people have been killed and many more stranded after intense monsoon rains caused the worst flooding in Pakistan this century.
Both rappers are using twitter to spread the message. Diddy wrote:
“Everybody!!! Please Follow Pakistan_Now and help raise awareness about the flood in Pakistan!!! They need us!!”
Fiasco has focused on getting fans to donate to the cause:
├óΓé¼┼ôPakistan_NOW: Text CERF to 90999 to donate $5 to UN foundation. If you can’t donate dollars at least donate tweets! It’s all about raising awareness Pakistan_Now.”
