It seems a trip to New York is in order this fall as it was just announced that Godspell is returning to the Great White Way with Weeds star Hunter Parrish slated to portray Jesus.
Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Jesus never looked so fiiiine. We’re exploding with happiness!!!!
The former Spring Awakening star revealed his thrill to land such an important role in the show, saying in his statement:
“I am elated to be joining the Godspell family, and honored to be a part of bringing this thrilling classic back to Broadway, I knew after meeting with the creative team that I was going to be a part of something really exciting. I can’t wait to get started.”
Swoon! We can’t either!!!
Opening night at the Circle in the Square Theater is scheduled for November 7th.
We know we’re going to want to be there! How about U???
