Patti Smith Memoir Getting The Movie Treatment

Exciting news for Patti Smith fans!

According to new reports, a movie version of Patti Smith’s memoir Just Kids is in the works.

The book revolves around Patti’s life with deceased photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, and it explores “how they inspired each other to become leaders in their fields.”

Gladiator screenwriter John Logan will be collaborating with Patti on the project, which we’re thinking bodes very well!

Previously, Patti Smith’s life was explored in Steven Sebring’s documentary film Patti Smith: Dream of Life. Should definitely be interesting to see what new insights about the artist come to the surface with this one!
