Back in January, we were excited to learn that Judd Apatow was innerested in possibly directing the upcoming Pee-wee Herman movie!
Now, Pee-Wee actor Paul Reubens has given us an update on the project, and we’re pleased to hear that Apatow is still involved!
Here’s what Reubens had to say about it:
“Paul Rust and I just turned in a draft to Judd last week. He├óΓé¼Γäós bringing such an interesting side to it. He├óΓé¼Γäós constantly having us talk about and address the emotional core of Pee-wee Herman. It├óΓé¼Γäós adding a dimension I never had before. Judd, if you├óΓé¼Γäóre reading this, I think it├óΓé¼Γäós ready to green light!”
AWESOME! We REALLY hope this ends up happening! We def feel like Judd could bring something special to this project!
