As if this was just going to fade into the background!
You know it only gets worse before it gets better, and Paula Deen‘s sitch is getting way worse!
Not only has she admitted to using the N word, lost her food network gig and faces losing more jobs, but now she is accused of more discrimination against other African American employees at her restaurant.
An attorney with the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, Robert Patillo, has spoken out on behalf of some of the employees who are accusing Paula and her brother, Bubba Hiers, of paying caucasian employees more along with promoting them at a faster rate. They’re ALSO accused of only letting white and lighter-skinned black people deal with customers while black people were only allowed jobs at the “back of the house.” And that’s not even the worst of it because the attorney is also claiming:
“[We] found evidence of systemic racial discimination and harassment … a family member consistently referred to a black cook as ‘my little monkey.'”
Whoa!
Right now these are all accusations, but we’ve gotta say, with the way things are going we’re not sure many people will believe Paula.
Her NEW people better work some PR magic NOW!
