Southern girls gotta stick together, we guess!
Paula Deen has someone OTHER than her sons standing by her side after admitting she used the N-word. It’s vampire author Anne Rice!
Rice took to her Facebook page to call out the media for covering Paula’s racist remarks. She wrote:
“What’s happening with Paula Dean? Is it fair? I never heard of her until today, and wow, this looks like a crucifixion. I may be wrong but aren’t we becoming something of a lynch mob culture?”
Oh boy…
Here comes trouble…
Anne wasn’t done just yet either. After receiving more than 1,000 likes for her post, some of her fans then scorned her for supporting Deen. Anne fired back:
“Her remarks were made informally and in private, and clearly not intended to hurt anyone. Now they’ve been elevated to billboard status where they can hurt many as the result of a law suit. Why does this country still hate the American South so much? You think there isn’t deep hateful racism in cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles? I can tell you, that you are wrong. It’s easy to hate Southerners, isn’t it?├óΓé¼┬¥
We for one aren’t hating on ANYONE, Anne, regardless of where they live in the US. But Paula said what she said!
Any celebrity chef should know that when you use hateful words, you end up in hot water! Paula’s pot is certainly “boiling” now!
