We imagine Paula Deen, sitting alone in her study, glass of bourbon in one hand while the other pinches the bridge of her nose. That’s when it dawns on her: if she’s going to truly lose everything, she might as well lose the one thing that helped her start it all — the agent that brought her to fame!
Paula Deen’s New York agent, Barry Weiner, had been with her for more than a decade. He was a huge part of making Paula’s Home Cooking a real thing, so it’s weird that she has decided to ditch him!
Here’s what Paula’s spokesperson said:
“Paula Deen has separated from her agent. She and her family thank him for the tireless effort and dedication over the many years.”
So he’s good enough to start your career, but not good enough to help stop you from ending it??
There have been NO REASONS given as to why she’s done this, but we get the feeling that he was offering good advice that she just didn’t want to take. She doesn’t seem like the kind of person that wants any kind of real outside help when it comes to things she’s doing — it’s her way, or the highway!
Either way, we hope he moves on to other clients and continues to find success!
