Slowly but surely we are making our way through all the members of Girls Aloud!
And we LOVE it!!!
Perez recently sat down to speak with Nadine Coyle!
We talked about a possible Girls Aloud reunion, if that’s happening, whether she’s interested or not, if she keeps in touch with the other girls, her solo musical efforts, living in America, her move to New York City, and plenty of Girls Aloud reminiscing!
Read some highlights from our chat… after the jump.
Watch the interview in full above!
Perez Hilton: Where are you right now?
Nadine Coyle: I’m in the Hamptons.
Perez Hilton: What are you doing in the Hamptons?
Nadine Coyle: We came, this is my first time here. We came out for the weekends just with some friends, just to kind of see what it’s like, watch a polo match, stay in beautiful houses. It’s been good.
Perez Hilton: It’s very posh there in the Hamptons.
Nadine Coyle: Very posh. It’s a very, very white crowd, which is kind of freaking me out. I’m like, it’s so pale here, where is everybody?
Perez Hilton: Now I’ve noticed that you’ve been spending a lot of time in New York. Are you spending the summer there, are you living there? What’s up with that?
Nadine Coyle: Yes, I’m spending the whole summer in New York. I came for three days and ended up staying for a month and then I’m like I may as well just stay here all summer, it’s just been so, so good. The weather’s amazing; I got an apartment here, so it’s all very New York.
Perez Hilton: Wow. And are you also working on music there?
Nadine Coyle: Yes, there’s a lot of great producers here. Someone told me before all the producers were in L.A. so I’d done a lot of work out there. But now there’s a lot of producers here too, some of them are up to a lot of like a 5 a.m. studio makes, which is ridiculous, but I’m getting a lot of stuff done.
Perez Hilton: So the — you have a new song out —
Nadine Coyle: Yes.
Perez Hilton: — which I think a little different from your other solo material. And this seems a little more dance oriented. Is that the direction that you’re heading in now or was that just kind of like a one off?
Nadine Coyle: Well it was kind of kind of New York, and you know we went out a lot and there was a lot of that music around. So I was thinking, I want to do something like that. You know I want to have a song that can be played in the club, in that environment. So I kind of took that route. So I’m getting some of the songs from the “Insatiable” album remastered and remixed kind of with a more, dancy, kind of clubby mainstream thing.
Perez Hilton: Oh. So is that going to be coming out soon-ish is that —
Nadine Coyle: Yes, going to be coming out soon.
Perez Hilton: Word is that maybe possibly, hopefully, Girls Aloud 2012?
Nadine Coyle: Yes, [Watch above.]
Perez Hilton: You want to do it, you’re open to it?
Nadine Coyle: [Watch above.]
Perez Hilton: I have my fingers crossed. I was speaking with Nicola not that long ago, and she said that you and I, that you and her chatted around somebody’s birthday. You still keep in touch with all the girls?
Nadine Coyle: Yeah, we talk; yeah we do; anytime we see each other. I mean, everybody’s all over the place, and we spent so much time together for all those years. But now everybody’s just like, oh, you know when we catch up, there’ll always be a lot to talk about.
