PETA Accused Of Killing 90% Of Its Shelter Animals!

PETA has been fighting for animal rights for years.
They’re often the only voice speaking up for those who have no voice of their own.
Though recently they’ve come under fire for allegedly euthanizing 90% of the animals they’ve sheltered!!
The Virginia Department for Agriculture and Consumer Services said PETA euthanized 1,675 of the 1,877 animals they took in their care in 2012.
The Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) is attacking PETA over these numbers, saying:

“It seems PETA is more dedicated to publicity stunts than to keeping the animals in its own care alive.”

What’s interesting is the CCF gets its support from restaurants and food companies, who aren’t too fond of PETA.
PETA has responded that not only are the numbers skewed, but most of their animals would end up euthanized anyway, saying:

“Most of the animals we take in are society├óΓé¼Γäós rejects: aggressive, on death├óΓé¼Γäós door or somehow unadoptable.”

So even though things may look bad, some random number doesn’t always tell the whole story.
PETA still does a lot of good and for that we thank them.
