Pete Hegseth Recites FAKE Bible Verse From Violent Quentin Tarantino Movie During Pentagon Prayer Service -- WATCH

Pete Hegseth Quotes FAKE Bible Verse From Quentin Tarantino Movie During Pentagon Prayer Service -- WATCH

We have a feeling we know what Pete Hegseth’s favorite movie is…

On Wednesday, Donald Trump’s Secretary of War led a Pentagon prayer service where he attempted to recite a Bible verse — but accidentally revealed he’s been watching way too much Pulp Fiction! Ha!

Hegseth asked the room to join him in an invocation he was told by a Combat Search and Rescue operation leader recently saved two Air Force crew members shot down over Iran:

“This prayer was recited by Sandy 1, which is one of the Sandies, to all Sandies, all those A-10 crews, prior to all CSAR missions, but especially this CSAR mission, which happened in real time. They call it CSAR 25:17, which I think is meant to reflect Ezekiel 25:17.”

He went on to recite:

“The path of the downed aviator is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of camaraderie and duty, shepherd the lost through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to capture and destroy my brother. And you will know my call sign is Sandy One when I lay my vengeance upon thee, and amen.”

Uhhhh… that’s definitely a quote! LOLz! The actual, real Bible verse reads:

“And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.”

And it’s important to note here that the real Bible verse is saying the Lord is the one enacting all this. It’s not saying it’s okay for humanity to enact vengeance.

For those who haven’t seen Pulp Fiction, the verse was famously used by Samuel L. Jackon’s character Jules Winnfield. During a tense confrontation, Jules asks a business associate if he reads the Bible… and when the dude confirms he does, Jules responds:

“Well, there’s this passage I got memorized, sort of fits the occasion: Ezekiel 25:17.”

He goes on to fluff up the verse with his own creative flair:

“The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and goodwill, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.”

Hegseth’s quote CLEARLY resembles the movie version of the verse! See a comparison (below):
