With all the recent media attention surrounding Olympic swimmer and record breaker Michael Phelps, it was only a matter of time before people started asking about his personal life.
And now the world wants to know if he’s dating anyone.
Like perhaps Olympic swimmer Amanda Beard?
When asked by TV’s Extra if he was dating Amanda, Phelps responded, “No, I’m not dating Amanda Beard. I’ll say that. I think she has a boyfriend.”
Is he just being coy?
When directly asked if he’s single, Phelps said, “Part of my life is kept to myself. I’m able to relax and be with my friends. Those pretty much are the only people who really know the answer to that question.”
Looks like his friends will be getting interviewed pretty soon!
And when told that Carrie Underwood has a crush on him, all Phelps said was “That’s the first I’ve heard of that. That’s pretty cool.”
As for his favorite female celeb, that would be Cameron Diaz.
When asked who would play his leading leading in a movie about his life, he responded, “Cameron Diaz seems pretty cool. She seems like she has a cool personality. ”
With the amount of money he’s going to be making soon, we doubt he’ll have any problem picking up any girls. Or boys!
Phelps is said to be taking in an estimated $40-100 MILLION in endorsements thanks to his wins and popularity now.
But, he adds, “It’s not about the money. I love what I do. The one thing I’m really looking forward to doing is raising the bar in the sport of swimming and promoting it├óΓé¼┬ªto get new faces involved in the sport.”
The money doesn’t hurt, though!
