He likes Mike!
Barack Obama tweeted his congratulations to Michael Phelps for his record winning 19th Olympic medal.
Here’s what the president said:

Michael Phelps was unable to offer a timely response because of NBC’s time delay (ha) but eventually he did answer.
Here’s what he said on Twitter:
“Thank you Mr. President!! It’s an honor representing the #USA !! The best country in the world!!”
We’re going to go ahead and follow the prez’s lead, and offer our own congratulations to Michael Phelps!
19 Olympic medals is a crazy feat that will be EXTREMELY tough for anyone to ever top.
We think after his retirement this year, Phelps should pull a Kurt Angle and join the WWE.
Then when he wins a championship match – J.R. Ross can scream, “MICHAEL PHELPS HAS WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP BELT! PHELPS HAS WON THE BELT!!!”
