Piers Morgan is such a jerk!
David Beckham is making his big screen acting debut in pal Guy Ritchie‘s King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword, so of course the Good Morning Britain host took the opportunity to open old wounds and insult the soccer star’s acting.

He said of Becks’ two lines in a clip:
“That’s one of the great gender neutral performances I’ve seen… I thought it was a very, very good performance. Honestly. Oscars, wow, exciting… A super talented man.”
His cohosts immediately detected his dry sarcasm (they probably hear it every day when he tells people they look nice) and jumped to Beckham’s defense.

Just seems like a totally adequate line read to us. It’s not exactly a big emotional role, but he certainly wasn’t terrible.
