It wasn’t such a good morning in Britain!
Ewan McGregor walked out on his scheduled Good Morning Britain appearance this morning when he learned Piers Morgan would be conducting the interview!
At ITV Studios to promote his new film T2 Trainspotting, the 45-year-old refused to go on air with the controversial TV personality, who recently got a lot of heat for criticizing the Women’s March over the weekend.

ICYMI, Piers tried to muster any relevancy he has left to say things like, “This #WomensMarch wasn’t about equality, it was about Trump-bashing, bomb threats & hateful jibes at other women.”
Sigh.
Taking a stand on Tuesday, the actor tweeted:
Was going on Good Morning Britain, didn’t realise @piersmorgan was host. Won’t go on with him after his comments about #WomensMarch

Obviously, this hurt Piers’ wittle feelings — and we heard ALL about it on GMB, Twitter, AND in a DailyMail blog.
On air, the 51-year-old said:
As you may have heard, @mcgregor_ewan stood us up today because of @piersmorgan – and here’s what he had to say about it…@susannareid100 pic.twitter.com/aarr2rb0r7

He went on to reference Ewan’s support of director Roman Polanski, who, according to Piers, is “a self-confessed and convicted child abuser.”
Morgan penned:

Women’s rights hero Ewan McGregor is a child rapist loving hypocrite who hates free speech.https://t.co/JzM8ikcIJp pic.twitter.com/Eb2B0TVfez

I see Ewan McGregor’s now had 136k likes for his tweet about me.
I’ve made him popular at last.

Meanwhile, GMB cohost Susanna Reid expressed her disappointment in Ewan bailing on the interview:
Such a shame. Challenge views where there’s difference. Would have liked to see that debate on air – it’s an important one. #WomensMarch https://t.co/dSsMZ9mc46
