CEO Quits His Powerful Job Because Of A List Of Milestones He's Missed... Written By His Daughter!

Most people who made $100 million in 2011 alone wouldn’t be so apt to quit their job!
But former CEO of the $2 trillion dollar investment fund PIMCO, Mohamed El-Erian, did just that recently!
And his reason why is kind of amazing.
The businessman explained that the basis of his decision came from a moment when he was arguing with his daughter about brushing her teeth, and she ran into the other room to give him a list that was a BIG “wake-up call” for him!
It was a list of twenty-two special moments that he had missed!

He explained how this prompted him to quit in a recent essay for Worth.
Here’s what he wrote:

“It was a list that she had compiled of her important events and activities that I had missed due to work commitments. The list contained 22 items, from her first day at school and first soccer match of the season to a parent-teacher meeting and a Halloween parade. I felt awful and got defensive: I had a good excuse for each missed event! Travel, important meetings, an urgent phone call, sudden to-do. But it dawned on me that I was missing an infinitely more important point … I was not making nearly enough time for her.”

That’s… amazing!
It’s clear he’s realized the truth of life that family can bring way more happiness than money!
Plus it sounds like he’s pretty set in terms of his financial future! LOLz!
And what’s the point of having all that money if you can’t use it and enjoy it with your loved ones?
Now Mohamed El-Erian can spoil his daughter with his money AND his time! And it’s clear one of those is way more important for her than the other!
