With a Donald Trump presidency looming over the White House, it’s no secret President Obama‘s administration is slightly on edge.
To help keep things cool, the commander-in-chief’s White House staff has been playing a prank on him during his final winter in office using a snowman family from the White House lawn!
White House photographer Pete Souza took to Instagram to share a few photos of the snowmen surreptitiously displayed outside windows in the West Wing, looking like power-hungry abominable beasts just waiting to infiltrate the Oval Office.

Is this an allegory for Trump and his cabinet of Yetis waiting to take over? Probably not, but it’s almost just as scary!
According to Souza, the snowpocalypse was the result of innocent prank from an unnamed staffer. He explained in his post:
“Sometimes you gotta have fun. For the past three weeks, there have been four snowmen on display in the Rose Garden. We’ve been joking that we should move the snowmen a few feet closer to the Oval Office every day to see if anyone noticed. Then we realized the snowmen were too heavy to easily lift. But finally this morning before the President came to the office, some helpful staff — I won’t say who–moved all the snowmen so each one was peeking through a different window into the Oval.”
He doesn’t have to say who — because we already know it’s Joe Biden up to another one of his shenanigans!! Oh, Joe… We’ll miss ya.
