The POTUS has spoken!!!
When the video of Ray Rice, who was cut from the Baltimore Ravens, pummeling his then-fiancé Janay Rice was released yesterday, the world was on fire over it!
In fact, it incensed the highest power in the land, President Obama!
He didn't want to waste time with a press conference — because he's running a country! — but he did have Press Secretary Josh Earnest release this statement:
"The President is the father of two daughters. And like any American, he believes that domestic violence is contemptible and unacceptable in a civilized society. Hitting a woman is not something a real man does, and that's true whether or not an act of violence happens in the public eye, or, far too often, behind closed doors. Stopping domestic violence is something that's bigger than football – and all of us have a responsibility to put a stop to it."
While Obama didn't mention Rice by name, it's pretty clear what this statement was in response to.
And he's spot on; real men DO NOT hit women!
