While most girls dream of having a fictional Mr. Darcy, this girl has got her own real-life one!
Bethany Albert, aka Reddit user ByTingo, posted pictures of her Jane Austen inspired proposal from her boyfriend and they are absolutely AH-MAZING!
Bethany’s boyfriend planned an elaborate scene, with costumes and all, in order to pop the question to his book-loving girlfriend!
But not just any scene…he planned Mr. Darcy’s proposal scene at the end of Pride & Prejudice!
Swoon!
Bethany commented explaining the back story:
Yes, I am a Jane Austen fan and I was an English lit major. I realized pretty quick what was going on because, my sister was taking pictures and it had my boyfriend written all over it. Also knew that we were going to get engaged at some point, but he still managed to surprise me. The actual proposal came about half an hour into doing all these scenes.
I felt like we had the best of both worlds; I wouldn’t have wanted my whole family to be there for the actual proposal. My sister took photos from a distance for that bit, so she couldn’t hear, and then she left us and we had our own private time together before heading up to the house to be with everyone.
Awww! Sounds like it was picture perfect!
And it was DEFINITELY a Jane Austen lover’s dream!
