Prince Harry Is 'Rudderless' And 'Doesn't Have Friends In LA' Yet: SOURCE

Prince Harry Meghan Markle Friends Job LA Los Angeles America

We’ve all heard how Prince Harry made a lot of sacrifices to do what he needed to do to keep his family safe. But where has that selflessness left him? We mean… is he OK?

While Meghan Markle ended up back home, near her mother and among friends in her former (and apparently future) industry of show biz, the Duke of Sussex is kind of all alone in Los Angeles.

We’ve heard he was getting really homesick post-Megxit, missing his friends back in the UK. And obviously during the coronavirus stay-at-home orders — which have been extended in El Lay for three more months, until at least August — he can’t exactly take a jet and visit.

A couple weeks back a source even said he “misses the camaraderie” of his time in the army and that he couldn’t believe how “his life has been turned upside down.”

This week a new source extrapolated on that to Vanity Fair, saying:

“He has a lot of friends in the military community in the UK and of course he misses them. This is a very strange time for us all, but I think Harry is missing having a structure to his life right now.”

Obviously that’s something which could take the form of military command, but this insider says the 35-year-old is missing two major things in his life right now in his new existence:

“He doesn’t have friends in L.A. like Meghan and he doesn’t have a job. So at the moment he’s a bit rudderless, but it won’t always be like this, and he knows that.”

Well, it’s nice to hear Harry isn’t hopeless over the situation, but that’s a depressing position we hadn’t considered — Harry doesn’t have any friends here??

The Sussex fam obviously has major celeb supporters, like Serena Williams and Oprah Winfrey and George Clooney. But are they all Meghan’s pals? We hadn’t considered the idea Harry would be so lonely, but for a big city El Lay can be an isolated town — and of course that’s never been more exacerbated than right now, during the age of great social distancing amid the pandemic.

This goes a long way toward explaining why Harry is back in touch with Prince William, something we also heard recently. He must need an anchor, someone to talk to — apart from his lovely wife of course.

As for not having a job, well, he may not have a 9-to-5 structure, but he does still have responsibilities to his charities. Another source told Vanity Fair:

“Harry has been on lots of conference calls and has been very busy keeping in touch with friends and colleagues. He is keeping up regular communication with all of the organizations he works with at home in the UK.”

On Monday he appeared on the BBC‘s The One Show to raise awareness and support for the CASEVAC Club, an organization which supports badly wounded soldiers.

So at least he’s still working, even if the social part of his existence isn’t going so well right now. And honestly, that’s true for a lot of us at the moment…
