Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's Royal Exit Will Be Reviewed In One Year: Source

Meghan Markle Prince Harry royal exit one year review

Better make the most of the year you’ve got, we suppose!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s decision to step down as senior members of the royal family will be reviewed by the crown in a year, according to a source. Based on all the meetings and work done behind the scenes on this one, it sounds like the (soon-to-be former) Duke and Duchess of Sussex will have exactly one year’s time before they need to come back to Queen Elizabeth to review their time away.

According to a royal source who spoke to People about the matter, the 93-year-old monarch came to that conclusion as part of the royal family’s summit at Sandringham estate on Saturday. As we reported yesterday, the Queen released an official statement about #Megxit at the conclusion of the summit, seemingly finding a way to make it work for Harry and Meghan, as well as for Prince CharlesPrince William, and the rest of the royal family.

And while we already knew based on the Queen’s statement that the sweeping changes here would take effect at some point in spring 2020, what we didn’t know — and what a source now explains, per the mag — is the timetable. If Harry and Meghan’s status is to be reviewed in just one year’s time, that means there is at least the potential for it being temporary, right? And theoretically the Queen could call them back to the monarchy, or they could wish to return to the royal family themselves, and for whatever reason?!

Whatever the case, it seems to give them a viable ‘out’ if the next year doesn’t work out for them, or something. Is that a good thing for Meghan and Harry? A way for the Queen to save face?! What do U think, Perezcious readers??

Back to business as usual!

On Sunday morning, the Queen attended her first public services since the whole #Megxit controversy first took hold. She was spotted by media members at the St. Mary the Virgin Church in Norfolk, England, posing for photos and smiling at the crowd along the way. You can see pics HERE.

Interestingly, she was accompanied by her embattled son, Prince Andrew, who himself was forced to suspend his royal duties back in late November of last year after his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were deeply explored and reported on in the media. Drama, drama, drama!

More ‘Lion King’ lobbying??

As we reported earlier this month, video camera footage at the premiere of The Lion King in London on July 2019 caught Prince Harry pitching his wife to Disney CEO Bob Iger for potential voiceover work in Hollywood at some point in the future.

Well, it turns out he pitched the movie’s director, Jon Favreau, as well!

According to footage obtained this weekend by the Daily Mail, the 35-year-old soon-to-be-former Duke tells the 53-year-old director on the red carpet that “if anyone needs any extra voiceover work, we’ll make ourselves available.”

Harry’s 38-year-old wife quickly shows more tact with an ice-breaker line, jokingly adding, “that’s really why we’re here — to pitch.” Ha! But seriously… how about that?! Clearly, this pitch — and the plan for a departure — was a long time in coming! Just saying!!!

Reactions, Perezcious readers?! Sound off about all of it in the comments (below)!!!
