Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Surprise Northern Ireland With An Official Visit -- But Let's Also Talk About The Suits Actress' Messy Side Bun!

What a surprise!
On Friday, Prince Harry and fianc├â┬⌐e Meghan Markle arrived in Belfast, Northern Ireland for an unannounced official visit. We can’t say we’re surprised that the twosome kept their travel plans a secret, as the royal family has a complicated past with the region.

As you surely know, for almost 40 years, Northern Ireland faced an immense amount of violence as the Irish Republican Army tried to force out British rule there. The violence directly affected the Windsors in 1979, when Prince Philip (you know, Queen Elizabeth II‘s husband)’s uncle Louis Mountbatten was assassinated by an IRA bomb.
Thus, it only seems right that Harry and Meghan were in the area promoting peace. Specifically, the love birds kicked off their visit with a celebration for the youth-led peace-building initiative, Amazing The Space.
The ginger prince has been involved with this program for some time, as he launched the initiative last September. Plus, both Harry and Meghan have advocated for youths to become involved in their communities, with this particular project encouraging youngsters to become peace ambassadors.
Speaking of the students, the 2,000 kids at the Eikon Exhibition Centre had no idea that soon-to-be newlyweds were coming for a visit. So when it was announced that the twosome had arrived, they were met with cheers and applause.

Not only did the pair take in some performances, but they also offered up words of support. Harry passionately noted:

“The previous generations have caused such problems, but with your help it can never happen again. You’re trying to educate the older generation which is just amazing. Well done. Clean the slates guys, you got this! …
Over the years religion has divided us but we’re all the same underneath. The most important thing is that the door is open and you just keep pushing at it. Ten, fifteen, years ago you would have been up against the tide, but you’re going with it now. Keep it up!”

Well said!! Harry and Meghan’s Belfast visit didn’t stop there, as they also popped by The Crown Liquor Saloon, Titanic Belfast, etc.

While Harry and Meghan’s Northern Ireland appearance appears to be a success, it seems Miz Markle broke a royal protocol during the outing. Don’t worry, the former Suits actress didn’t commit a Cardinal sin. However, she DID rock another unconventional royal hairstyle.
In case you forgot, the 36-year-old shocked many when she wore a messy bun to an appearance with Harry. Well, she broke another hairstyle rule, as for the Northern Ireland visit — she donned a side bun! Yup, the princess-to-be scooped her dark locks into a messy low side knot.

And tbh, with the windy weather in that region, we think she made the perfect ‘do selection. Not to mention, Meghan’s made a habit of wearing low maintenance ensembles. For this adventure, Meghan wore a crew neck Victoria Beckham sweater, a green skirt by Greta Constantine, red velvet Jimmy Choo pumps, and a belted wool coat by Mackage. FABOOSH!
There’s no denying she’s different from Kate Middleton, who is rarely without a blow out or an up ‘do. LOVES it.
We honestly CANNOT WAIT to see what Meghan wears on her wedding day. 56 days and counting, people!!!
