Prince Harry Made Megxit Moves To 'Shield' Baby Archie From 'Negativity & Tension' In The UK

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are doing everything they can to protect baby Archie Harrison.

We’re counting down the days until the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are officially financially independent from the royal family, but until then the 10-month-old’s parents are continuing to be extra-protective.

An insider explained to Us Weekly:

“He wants to shield his son from the negativity and tension he would’ve been exposed to back in England.”

A second source added the 35-year-old “knows what it’s like to grow up in the spotlight, and he wants to give Archie the most normal upbringing possible.”

But they can’t keep their little one away from his family members across the pond entirely. As we previously reported, the plan is for Meg and Harry to fly back to the UK with their son, and to vacation over the summer for a while with the Queen at Balmoral Castle, her home in Scotland.

Plus, the twosome are expected to show up for the Trooping the Colour parade in June — the annual belated birthday celebration for the Queen — and there’s reportedly a chance Archie could make a public appearance there, as well. A source elaborated to E! News:

“Harry and Meghan accepted the Queen’s invitation to spend time with her at Balmoral in Scotland this summer. They plan to take Archie with them. Last year, they declined her invitation, which caused a bit of a stir, as they took Archie to Ibiza and to Elton John’s [vacation home] in the south of France. They decided not to bring Archie to the U.K. this time while they completed their final engagements, which the queen understood. But she was ‘very sad’ that Archie has not spent much time with the royal family and his cousins—he has yet to set foot in the U.K. this year. So a Sussex trip to Balmoral this summer is being seen as a good thing all round in royal circles.”

Sounds like it will be a fun time!

But then again, there was VISIBLE tension at the couple’s final royal engagement earlier this month. Luckily, the couple has each other to rely on when the going gets tough. Body language expert Blanca Cobb revealed (below) to Us Weekly after their Commonwealth Day service appearance:

“When you compare Harry and Meghan’s interaction with [Prince] William and Kate [Middleton] to their interactions with the other people around them, it gives you a sense of, why would it be different and I think a natural conclusion would be, something is up. Kate had zero acknowledgement when taking her seat near Harry and Meghan.”

There’s no better excuse than a global pandemic to stay inside, and we’re sure Meg and Harry have no problem with that for the time being!
