Prince's Personal Chef Says The Singer Was 'Struggling With Being Sick A Lot' In The Months Before His Death -- How Sad!

While Prince‘s death may’ve been unexpected to us, his chef Ray Roberts has since revealed that the Purple Rain singer was plagued with stomach pains and a sore throat in the months leading up to his passing.
As we previously reported, the music icon’s death was confirmed on April 21 after he was found in his Minnesota home. Now the man who cooked for the A-lister for nearly three years is opening up on what Prince was like in the time before his death.

The cook shared:

“It felt like he wasn’t himself probably the last month or two. I think he was just struggling with being sick a lot.”

How sad! This report comes shortly after it was revealed that police would be investigating to see if the Raspberry Beret artist died of an overdose and if a pharmacy/doctor may be responsible for supplying the industry vet with drugs. It is rumored that the Grammy winner became addicted to Percocet prior to his hip surgery in 2010.
Roberts also noted that in the last few months he felt that Prince was losing weight as he was eating less and drinking less water. Not to mention, he also relayed that the Minnesota native would be sick with a sore throat or stomach pains for “weeks at a time” and had been turning to smoothies and fresh juices to soothe his illness.

Still, a sore throat isn’t necessarily an odd sickness to face when living in the Midwest. Fans who saw Prince right before he died claimed that, while he may’ve seemed tired, he still had a “glow” about him.
However, it appears that the musician had a history of soldiering through anything. Roberts added:

“It was amazing. I don’t think I ever saw him really looking bad ever. He was always on point.”

In a sadder turn events, the professional chef concluded that the last thing he made for his boss (who was a dedicated vegetarian) was a roasted red pepper bisque with a kale and spring vegetable salad — but the singer never ate it. In fact, when Ray turned up for the memorial service, he found the meal in the fridge right where he left it.
Tissues, anyone? We’re wishing Prince’s loved ones only the best during this tough time.
