Famine is afflicting more than 13 million people (320,000 of them are children) in East Africa and the Royal Couple is stepping in to do something about it!
Prince William and his wife, Kate, have announced their plans to visit a UNICEF center in Copenhagen, Denmark, on Nov. 2 in an effort to learn about the distribution of emergency food and medical supplies in East Africa.
Both will help pack food and medical supplies for the crisis, on top of being briefed by UNICEF staff about the situation.
A statement released on behalf of the couple — who got engaged in Kenya — says they “will seek to maintain global attention on the crisis in East Africa, an area well known to the Duke and Duchess, where the situation is getting worse.”
Good luck, guys!
