Prince Harry and Prince William may no longer be feuding, but that doesn’t mean the historic shakeup that is Megxit is sitting well with the elder royal!
According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, in fact, William and wife Kate Middleton are “still reeling” from Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step down as senior royals, and are still currently “coming to terms with the reality” of the Sussexes’ decision.
Speaking about the Duke of Sussex’s ongoing relationship with the Cambridges, the commentator told Entertainment Tonight:
“I think the severity of what’s happened has had a huge impact on his brother, on his sister-in-law… Both of them are still reeling from the news, coming to terms with the reality of this situation.”
We wouldn’t doubt it!

As fans know, William held his first solo reception at Buckingham palace earlier this week, while his brother flew to Canada to be with Meghan after Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles finalized the deal on their departure from the royal family.
A statement regarding Harry and Meg’s new role explained:
“The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have shared their wish to repay Sovereign Grant expenditure for the refurbishment of Frogmore Cottage, which will remain their UK family home. Buckingham Palace does not comment on the details of security arrangements. There are well established independent processes to determine the need for publicly-funded security.”
The younger Duke confirmed the news on Sunday night, saying he’s “taking a leap of faith” in stepping back from his life as a member of the royal family for a “more peaceful life,” as “there really was no other option.”
Thankfully, despite his apparent shock over his little brother’s decision, William was said to have repaired his relationship with Harry shortly before the 35-year-old left to join Meg and baby Archie Harrison in Canada. A senior royal source previously dished to The Sun that the brothers Windsor had multiple peace talks prior to Harry’s departure, as they both knew it was now or never to fix their relationship.
The insider revealed:
“They decided to cut out all the toxic people stirring around them to deal with each other man-to-man as brothers… Given Harry is now permanently moving away, there was a realization if they didn’t sort things out now, they never would. Of course there have been serious differences in opinions but the family warmth is back. And they’re sad they’re going to be so far apart.”
Awww. It’s a good thing Harry and Meg are only a private jet ride away!
