Princess Catherine is back!
On Saturday, the Princess of Wales joined her husband, Prince William, and their royal family members at the annual Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall in London, which honors the service of the British and Commonwealth Armed Forces. For the event, Catherine sported the traditional poppy pinned to her black blazer dress. She further accessorized with her sapphire and diamond engagement ring, a pearl earring with a matching pearl necklace, and a black clutch. Meanwhile, William looked dapper in a blue suit. Two months ago, Kate Middleton announced she finished her chemotherapy treatment and looked “forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months” when she could. So this appearance was a huge deal! It was the first time we’d seen her since the announcement, and she looked amazing!
Joining William and Kate were King Charles, Prince Edward, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent, Prince Richard, the Duke of Gloucester, Birgitte, the Duchess of Gloucester, and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence. Notably absent was Queen Camila, as she was battling a chest infection. Buckingham Palace announcement earlier in the day:
“Following doctors’ guidance to ensure a full recovery from a seasonal chest infection, and to protect others from any potential risk, Her Majesty will not attend this weekend’s Remembrance events. While this is a source of great disappointment to The Queen, she will mark the occasion privately at home and hopes to return to public duties early next week.”
According to People, there is no cause for concern. Camilla just did not want to give the infection to anyone else and was afraid she would experience a setback in her recovery if she attended.
We wish Camilla a speedy recovery! Also, we must say it is great to see Catherine back and in such good spirits!
