Princess Catherine Makes Rare Comment About Her Cancer Battle After Christmas Day Service

Princess Catherine just made a rare comment about her cancer journey.

On Wednesday, the Princess of Wales joined other members of the royal family for the annual Christmas Day church service at Sandringham and stopped to speak to those who gathered outside. And she shared a few touching moments with fans as she spoke about her health battle.

When a woman who worked for the MacMillian Cancer Support in the UK told Kate she was “an inspiration to all the patients,” she replied:

“Thank you so much, honestly. The amount of people who have written this year is extraordinary and I think cancer just really does resonate with so many families. People like you are doing all the hard work out there. I’m hugely grateful.”

Another woman then added:

“We’re all behind you, never forget that.”

Touched by her words, Catherine responded:

“Thank you very much, [that’s] so kind, nice to meet you.”

And that wasn’t the only sweet interaction she had that day. During the walkabout, the 42-year-old royal also spoke and hugged 73-year-old Karen Maclean, who battled cancer for 20 years. The woman got to meet King Charles, who was also battling cancer, that day, too. She told Dailymail.com:

‘We just had a little talk about cancer, really. I’ve met the King before. He said to me ‘I can remember you’, I’m thinking ‘what!’, like many years ago?”

As for how Catherine and Charles are holding up? Karen said they seemed “very well actually, considering what they’re going through.” Amazing. It’s been a tough year for the royal family due to Charles and Catherine’s health scares, so we’re glad they are seemingly doing “well” now.
