A lesson that unfortunately has to be learned sometimes!
After Andy Cohen made some less-than-stellar remarks about The PS 22 Chorus and their appearance at the Academy Awards, he rightfully apologized, and choral director Gregg Brienberg smartly used the controversy as a way to teach the kids that sometimes, adults say and do things without thinking just as often as children, and it’s important to recognize when you’re wrong and admit to it!
Check out the video the group made for Andy, and their performance of Apologize by OneRepublic (above)!
Breinberg also included the following message:
The PS22 Chorus responds to the criticism and the apology from Andy Cohen regarding the kids’ Oscars performance. Classy and articulate kids expressing themselves honestly. And Andy, we kid, it’s never too late to apologize, and we truly appreciate it, but next time take a lesson from the kids…..
All in good fun!
And the great song is Apologize by One Republic, and it was cool trying 3 part harmony.
What thoughtful comments!
And we’re glad that they all openly expressed their feelings about the situation, whether they accept his apology or not!
It’s so important to recognize how you’re feeling and to be honest with yourself!
Hopefully now they can all put what happened behind them and focus on what’s most important: the music!
