Just another day in the life of a Royal family member.
Queen Elizabeth headed out to BBC headquarters in London on Friday for the opening of their new multimedia broadcasting center, despite the fact that Prince Philip just underwent his exploratory operation.
There seems to be several reasons for this.
Insiders say that both the Queen and Duke are not about PDA, which is part of a “stoic” British tradition.
However, Ingrid Seward of Majesty magazine said:
“Everything comes second to duty, especially self. People don’t understand that these days. It is always like that.”
The third reason is that the Queen would feel useless if she can’t help out her beloved Philip. A source added:
“She would think, ‘What could I be doing, sitting feeling sorry for myself, and what can I do at my husband’s bedside?’ It’s a ‘get on with it’ philosophy.├óΓé¼┬¥
Get on with it, indeed!
Some good news is that the Prince’s exploratory operation is done and now they’re in a process of analyzing the results. Buckingham Palace stated:
├óΓé¼┼ôAt this early stage he is progressing satisfactorily.”
Satisfactory is good, but we need him to be WELL!
At least we know he├óΓé¼Γäós got a strong Queen by his side to nurse him back to health… Just as soon as she finishes all her daily commitments. Ha!
