He must be so distraught…
Former Eagles bassist and founder Randy Meisner has been placed on a 72-hour psych hold, according to reports.
The musician apparently threatened to kill himself after his wife Lana‘s violent accidental death on Sunday night, and authorities have held him for his own protection.

According to law enforcement sources speaking to TMZ, Meisner — who has a history with substance abuse and violent threats — was “distraught and unstable.”
Evidently, he made a credible enough suicide threat that police thought it best to immediately take him in for a psych hold.
Investigators are still looking at Lana’s death as being accidental — they believe she was rummaging through a closet to find a pair of shoes when she moved a rifle bag and, somehow, the trigger was activated, firing the gun and killing her instantly.
So, so sad all around.
