As we previously mentioned, Ronald Poppo, a 65-year-old homeless man, had his face eaten by a drug crazed maniac!
He’s currently in the hospital in critical condition, but in a grand gesture, the local county is going to pay for all his medical bills.
A Miami area plastic surgeon said:
“It could easily cost $100,000 to $200,000 for the reconstructive surgeries that he will need to get his face back.”
So much of his face is missing that they may need to perform a full face transplant!
Even though this procedure can be impossibly expensive, the county will still pay for it.
“The county pays for those who can├óΓé¼Γäót pay for themselves, so he fits the bill because he is homeless. It will require an ophthalmologist, a cranial facial surgeon, a micros-surgeon and plastic surgeons. It is like something ripped from a TV plot ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ it would be like the Manhattan project to rebuild him.”
So sad that he was attacked so savagely but we’re glad the county has his back!
