The GOP may be obsessed with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, but they’re about to learn there’s more than one outspoken new woman in the House.
In fact, they’re about to have too many targets to be ridiculous at!
Currently they’re freaking out about Michigan’s Rashida Tlaib, who on Thursday became the first Palestinian-American woman and, along with Ilhan Omar, one of the first two Muslim women to serve in Congress.

Why? She said a dirty word about Donald Trump!
During a MoveOn event yesterday evening, Rashida recalled the night she was elected, saying:
“And when your son looks at you and says, ‘Mama look, you won. Bullies don’t win,’ and I said, ‘Baby, they don’t,’ because we’re gonna go in there and we’re going to impeach the motherf**ker!”
Naturally the MAGA machine immediately went off, with pundits clutching their pearls at her use of language.
Like y’all didn’t elect a man who said he grabbed women “by the p***y.”
Well, if they were expecting an apology, they came to the wrong Rep. because Rashida tweeted:

She then doubled down on the substantive part of her statement.
You know, not the “motherf**ker” part but the part about the motherf**ker in the White House.
Her office released an official statement saying:
“The Congresswoman absolutely believes he needs to be impeached. She ran and won by making this very clear to the voters in her district. Donald Trump’s actions have harmed the 13th Congressional District and this country, and Congresswoman Tlaib will not stay silent while this happens.”
She also tweeted out a link to an op-ed spelling out her position:

Here’s the highlight:
“We already have overwhelming evidence that the president has committed impeachable offenses, including, just to name a few: obstructing justice; violating the emoluments clause; abusing the pardon power; directing or seeking to direct law enforcement to prosecute political adversaries for improper purposes; advocating illegal violence and undermining equal protection of the laws; ordering the cruel and unconstitutional imprisonment of children and their families at the southern border; and conspiring to illegally influence the 2016 election through a series of hush money payments.”
Aaaaaaand she isn’t wrong about any of that!
The country may have gotten used to how corrupt and inappropriate the Unindicted Co-Conspirator-In-Chief is, but it doesn’t change the fact he’s not fit to be POTUS.
Clearly many don’t agree impeachment is warranted YET — but if you look at everything laid out like that, her position doesn’t seem so far out there at all.
