Earlier today, we heard from Janay Rice, who was the victim of a brutal knockout at the hands of her husband Ray Rice.
She expressed sadness about the fact that Ray was cut from the Baltimore Ravens, and then suspended by the NFL.
Well, now the man at the center of this scandal finally has something to say.
Rice gave his own statement today, saying:
"I have to be strong with my wife. She is so strong. We are in good spirits. We have a lot of people praying for us and we'll continue to support each other. I have to be there for (Janay) and my family right now and work through this."
At least he's concerned about his wife… we guess.
This whole situation just has us so sad. It's impossible to understand how a man could do that to a woman, but his apologies are a good start.
