Reacher Star Alan Ritchson Blasts Former Classmate Matt Gaetz: 'Not A Good Dude'

Reacher said nothing. Alan Ritchson, on the other hand, just said a mouthful!

The star of Amazon Prime‘s biggest hit (certainly if you measure around the bicep) isn’t afraid to get political — not when it comes to scumbags he knows personally!

In a new interview with GQ Hype, the 6′ 3″ hunk was asked about the not-so-fun fact that back home in Niceville, Florida, he was high school classmates with another increasingly famous guy: former Congressman Matt Gaetz. The interviewer notes that just the mention of the controversial Republican’s name “puts a charge” into Ritchson, who responds with rather more force than one might expect of someone trying to sell the next season of a TV show! Instead, he bites:

“That motherf**ker. We are adversaries.”

Wow! We wonder if they asked if they were friends! LOLz!

We can’t blame Alan, of course. Even among MAGA toadies, Gaetz is infamous. He’s the only one of Donald Trump‘s nominees who couldn’t get confirmed — in a pool that includes national security risks and the brainworm-addled, that’s really saying something.

Gaetz was intended to be Trump’s Attorney General, a truly insane choice considering he was under investigation himself for sex with a minor, trafficking said teen, and spending tens of thousands on illicit drugs and prostitutes during his time in office. The allegations against this guy are truly grotesque, something that shouldn’t be a partisan issue.

Alan couldn’t hold himself back from taking issue with the disgraced politician AND his supporters in the Sunshine State:

“It’s shocking to me that the panhandle of Florida continues to vote for somebody — knowing everything we know about him and the promises that he’s made behind closed doors about pardoning certain criminals — he’s just not a good dude!”

Well said! Ritchson admitted one solution he’s considered is throwing his own hat into the ring:

“There’s part of me that wants to get into politics to outdo somebody like him for good, and there’s part of me that’s like, I’m not duplicitous enough to succeed in politics. There are certain people that do a good job of staying true to who they are, but they’re ineffective. I think Bernie Sanders is a hero. But it’s like, what has he accomplished?”

Dang! Shots fired all over both sides of the aisle! We mean… he does have a point, sadly. The folks getting more power do seem to be the ones making dark deals now. Too bad there isn’t a Reacher in real life to take these guys down.
