Kara Keough Shares Heartbreaking Photo Tribute To Her Late Son Three Weeks After His Death

Kara Keough's son died during childbirth

This is so heartbreaking. Kara Keough Bosworth is once again paying tribute to her late son on social media, just three weeks after revealing he tragically passed away during childbirth on April 6.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum uploaded a new photo of herself and husband Kyle Bosworth cradling their beloved McCoy shortly after he arrived. The couple previously shared their son fatally suffered “shoulder dystocia and a compressed umbilical cord” during delivery.

In her caption, the grieving momma reflected on what motherhood be like right now if her baby had survived:

“You would have been 3 weeks old today. You would be “waking up” and showing us more of you. I would be getting the hang of being a mom of two. My milk would be regulating to your schedule.”

She went on to imagine how the whole family, including her husband and their 4-year-old daughter Kate, would be adjusting to McCoy, too:

“Your sister would be asking questions about your belly button and you would have peed on her at least once by now. Daddy would be sending texts to his football buddies about how our giant baby boy could probably already out-lift them. We would be laughing that you never fit into newborn diapers, not even for one day. I’d be exhausted, leaking, and happy.”

Our heart instantly broke as she added:

“Instead… we’re missing you.”

The 32-year-old concluded her post with a nod to all other mommas who’ve experienced the pain she’s going through:

“To all my fellow “instead” mamas…. thank you for reminding me that we’re not alone, and that we can survive this. He didn’t, but we have to. And we will.”

Wow. See her emotional post and photo (below):

It was April 14 when Bosworth originally shared the news of her son’s passing on IG, sharing a photo of the name McCoy. At the time, the couple also revealed their son’s body tissue and organs would be donated to help save other children’s lives. She wrote:

“Tonight, we join together to honor this little savior’s gifts of life. Through him, may others find new hope and profound healing… and may he live again through them. May his legacy shine in the form of lifetimes aplenty – lives filled with laughter, compassion, energy, love, and most of all gratitude. May it be said that McCoy Casey Bosworth left this world in a better place, for a better place…. that he made an impact… that he was an answered prayer… that he was a hero.”

What beautiful and selfless way to keep their loved one’s memory alive.

R.I.P. McCoy.
