This completely breaks our hearts!
Last week, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster finally opened up to fans about her struggles with Lyme disease in a blog entry.

The 51-year-old — who was diagnosed with the illness in 2012 — explains how she has lost vital mental and cognitive functions in her body.
She writes:

“I have lost the ability to read, write, or even watch TV, because I can’t process information or any stimulation for that matter├óΓé¼┬ª It feels like someone came in and confiscated my brain and tied my hands behind my back to just watch and see life go by without me participating in it.”

Lyme disease is transmitted through the bite of an infected tick and can cause harm to the joints, heart, and central nervous system.
However, the former model has not given up hope.
She declares:

“I am a firm believer that God often uses our deepest pain as the launching pad of our greatest calling, so even though I have not found a cure, I have faith that I will.”

We greatly applaud Yolanda for her honesty in talking about such a personal struggle, and we pray that there will be a definite cure for Lyme disease (in any stage) in the immediate future.
