RHOM Alum Lisa Hochstein Claps Back At Those Who Criticized Her For Evacuating Hurricane Irma On A Private Plane

People aren’t happy with this Real Housewives Of Miami alum.
Over the weekend, Lisa Hochstein was put on blast for seemingly boasting about escaping Hurricane Irma’s destruction via a private plane. Specifically, the former Bravolebrity took to Instagram to share a snap of her family and pets posing in front of a private aircraft amid statewide evacuations.

Unsurprisingly, many IG users dragged Miz Hochstein for bragging about her good fortune. Even Lisa’s RHOM costar Joanna Krupa weighed in on the controversy as she noted on Twitter:

All those A holes posting and showing off w their private jets in Miami , why don’t u offer help families and animals that can’t get out ?

We mean, Miz Krupa isn’t wrong. Nonetheless, Lisa has since defended her decision as she’s updated her pic’s caption with the following:

UPDATE: to all of these ignorant people leaving nasty comments… although it’s none of your damn business we were not the only ones in this plane. Every seat was occupied and my son had to sit in my lap. EVERYONE IS POSTING ON SM about how they escaped! This happens to be mine and I don’t need to apologize or hide to ANYONE ABOUT HOW WE DO SO. We also did not have paper work for our dogs to fly commercial as every vet was closed and every flight was booked and there is no way in hell we would leave them behind. Fortunately we were able to get a plane to take them with us. Anyone with nasty comments needs to back off get off my page and worry about yourself and how you can help instead if wasting your energy on attacking me. And to the other commenters about me “abandoning” my friends in my house ├░┼╕ΓäóΓÇ₧├░┼╕ΓäóΓÇ₧├░┼╕ΓäóΓÇ₧├░┼╕ΓäóΓÇ₧ they weren’t any guests that happened to just be there already, they are friends who just didn’t have a proper safe place to stay who live in Miami and I figured mine would be safer for them so I offered for them to come on over! In Lisa’s initial post, she stated that she and her family had “waited until the last minute” to evacuate, but ultimately chose to leave in order to protect her son, Logan. Fair enough.
At the end of the day, we’re just glad Lisa and her family are safe — even if her method of evacuating Florida is questionable.
