Rent: Live didn’t end up being so live Sunday night after actor Brennin Hunt, playing Roger, broke his foot during Saturday’s rehearsal.
But still, the show went on!
Vanessa Hudgens, playing Maureen, explained the news after a few performances in the beginning of the show, saying:
“Last night during our performance in front of a live audience, one of our cast members sustained an injury. A visit to the hospital confirmed that Brennin Hunt, our Roger, had broken his foot and will be unable to perform tonight.”
So, Fox‘s TV musical aired with some “previously recorded” performances, while others were live.
