Vanessa Hudgens, Tinashe, & More To Star In Fox's 'Rent' Live!

On Monday, the network announced the cast lineup for its latest live extravaganza, and we are totally pumped!

Vanessa Hudgens will play performance artist Maureen; Kiersey Clemons will play her girlfriend Joanne; Dancing With The Stars winner Jordan Fisher will play aspiring filmmaker Mark Cohen; while Brennin Hunt and Tinashe will respectively play musician Roger Davis and dancer Mimi Marquez, two lovers who are both HIV positive.
RuPaul’s Drag Race star Valentina will play drag queen/steel percussionist Angel; Brandon Victor Dixon will play professor Tom Collins; and Empire actor Mario will play landlord yuppie Benjamin Coffin III.
Additionally, The Greatest Showman‘s Keala Settle will perform the play’s iconic song Seasons of Love!
The musical — loosely based on the opera La Boheme — is about a group of New York City artists dealing with the HIV/AIDS crisis in 1989.
The event will air live on January 27, 2019 at 7 p.m. EST/tape delayed PST.
