Will the show go on?
The company that was planning Michael Jackson‘s tour alongside sister Janet Jackson and the rest of their siblings has issued a cease and desist on preparations for Jacko’s upcoming London residency at the O2 Arena, which kicks off in July..
Back in November 2008, Jacko’s manager signed a deal that promised his appearance in a family tour. As part of the deal, Michael was to refrain from any other concert deals for the following 18 months.
The O2 concerts violate the terms of the deal!
Jackson’s defense is saying that MJ himself never signed the family tour deal, but that his manager did it, possibly without his knowledge. However, a manager is authorized to act on behalf of their client. And it’s legally binding.
