Robert Downey Jr. is full of surprises!
First he shocks a Moscow fan convention by showing up unannounced! Now he’s doing it closer to home- NYC!
The superhero made a drop-in at special screening of Iron Man 3 held for kids and teens that volunteered with the Police Athletic League during Hurricane Sandy!
Ch-ch-check out the video (above) to see Iron Man himself applaud the heroic kids!
The appearance was especially meaningful for RDJ, who grew up in NYC. He said:
“It├óΓé¼Γäós my hometown.
Everywhere we drive, I have a memory of playing Frisbee in front of that office building or trying to sneak into the back door of a ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ midnight showing, because I knew someone who was working concessions.
Also, coming back here reminds me of my origins, so it├óΓé¼Γäós thematically concurrent with what Tony Stark├óΓé¼Γäós doing.”
They say you can never go home again, but if you’re an Avenger you can pretty much do anything!
