Robert Downey Jr. is set to voice the time traveling cartoon canine Mister Peabody in Dreamworks’ big screen adaptation of Peabody’s Improbably History, based on characters from The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show.
The short segment that aired in the 1950’s and 60’s revolved around Mister Peabody showing his pet boy Sherman through history using his time machine.

Rob Minkoff, the director of The Lion King, will be directing.
We’re so EXCITED!
The Lion King is one of the greatest animated films ever made and Robert Downey Jr.’s voice is perfect for the role!
We’re definitely looking forward to this one hitting theaters in 2014.
