Robin Thicke Isn't Done With Blurred Lines Legal Battle -- Legal Team Accuses Gaye Family Of 'Unfair Tactics' For Going After T.I.

no title
Robin Thicke already had to pay $7.4 million to Marvin Gaye‘s family after a jury decided his and Pharrell Williams‘ hit Blurred Lines infringed on the copyright of Got To Give It Up.
But this legal battle is far from over — and it looks like it’s just getting dirtier!

Apparently the Gaye family are now trying to retroactively add on to their big win, claiming that rapper T.I. and Interscope Records should pay up too!
It’s a move that Thicke’s lawyers are — in no uncertain terms — slamming the fudge out of!
In an official statement, they called the move “unfair,” “improper,” and “groundless.”
Considering the jury didn’t find that T.I.’s part in the songwriting infringed on the Gaye classic, it does seem strange that the fam would seek an even bigger legal win here.
Of course, like the Gayes, Thicke’s legal team isn’t happy about the original verdict either!

The statement also called the entire trial “an abject miscarriage of justice, unsupported by the evidence, and contrary to law.”
Was the song legally too similar? And if so, should T.I. have to pay too??
What do YOU think??
